Tax Reliefs

Just in case you are not aware of what relief you are entitle to, you can check it out here:-

1. Self relief - RM8,000 (Everyone will be entitled to this automatically);



2. Medical expenses - RM5,000 (include RM500 max for medical exambination);



3. Wife/husband relief - RM3,000 (combine assessment);



4. Child relief - RM1,000 per child (below 18); RM5,000 (Disable child);RM4,000 (above 18 and studying in colleges and universities);



5. Life insurance + EPF - RM6,000 max;



6. Medical & Education insurance - RM3,000 (max);



7. Fees for acquiring technical, vocational, industrial, scientific, technological,law,accounting,islamic,financing,skills at tertiary level or post graduate level - RM5,000 (max);



8. Purchase of books (excluding newspaper or banned publication) - RM1,000



9. Purchase of sports equipment - RM300.
